You’ll receive a final copy of the Dawg Daze schedule of events at Check-In. Be sure to check in for Dawg Daze when you first arrive on campus! Your Schedule of Events and Dawg Pass/Visual Schedule will both help you choose which events and workshops you want to attend throughout the next week.

Come kick off the school year with the Husky Cycling Club! The Husky Cycling Club is open to all UW students, faculty, and staff, and welcomes all skill and experience levels. In addition to maintaining an active recreational riding scene year-round, Husky Cycling fields powerhouse road, cyclocross, mountain bike, and track racing teams with regional and national championship titles. This ride is the perfect chance to meet fellow UW cyclists, ask questions about the club, and learn about how you can get involved with UW's biggest and most diverse cycling community. Riders will meet in front of the IMA and then ride in different groups based on distance, speed, and time preferences. A women's-only group will also be available. There will be suitable options for everyone, from those just getting started to experienced cyclists. Come on the ride today and see what it’s all about! This event is a required event for all new freshmen and transfer students. Immediately following, you'll meet for Peer Connections with a student leader, or if you're in a Freshman Interest Group (FIG) or Transfer Interest Group (TrIG), with your FIG or TrIG Leader. Meet current students eager to show you the ropes. Check-in begins at 1:40pm.

Stock up on the supplies you need to start school. You're invited to a special UW student-only late-night event at Fred Meyer Superstore. Free music, food, drinks, and a chance to win a $500 Fred Meyer gift card! Make sure you bring your UW student ID card or your Dawg Pass to get in the door, and receive a special savings certificate to buy anything from groceries to dorm essentials. All you have to do is show up at the flagpole on Memorial Way or at NE Campus Pkwy and Brooklyn Ave on West Campus starting as early as 7:45 pm, and free bus shuttles will take you back and forth. If you have a car, you can also drive to Fred Meyer-Ballard, 915 Northwest 45th Street, Seattle, WA 98107.
