Decoration Challenge 2014 – Husky Pride Award
Interested in giving new UW students a vibrant welcome to campus? Sign up to join the campus-wide 12th Anniversary Dawg Daze Decoration Challenge. Roll out the Purple and Gold for our new Huskies!
The Decoration Challenge is an opportunity for departments around campus to show their Purple and Gold pride. Here in First Year Programs we strive to offer incoming students an experience they will never forget. This is just one way how you can help to make this experience worth wild!
To participate, please fill out this survey https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/dawgdaze/245872 by September 11, 2014 at 5pm. The survey will be available on August 29th.
Each participating office will receive a starter kit filled with basic, decorating materials. Remember, this is only a starter kit and you are encouraged to add your own decorations to the mix. Do not limit your creativity! Hang things, wear things, bake things!
Office decorations will be judged by a team of student, staff and faculty judges who will circulate campus starting at 9 am on Friday, September 19th.
Winners will be selected based on their creative talents and most spirited welcome design. There are four different categories that we will be judging.
- Best Theme
- Most Creative
- Incorporation of Department Mission
- Department Involvement
There will be a winner for each category and a Grand Prize winner for the overall best integration of all four categories. All winners will be notified by the end of the day on September 19th.
The winning departments will receive a reward and the Grand Prize winner will join past winners on a commemorative Husky Pride Award plaque which will hang in the office of First Year Programs in Mary Gates Hall Suite 120.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send us an email at email@example.com.
Thanks for helping to make our campus as welcoming as possible for our new HUSKIES!
